Steps in making home made Yogurt.
- Bring approximately half a gallon of milk to a boil in a stainless steel pot. Mix it so the cream that collects on the top mixes with the milk.
- Turn the stove off and let it stand for about 10 minutes, until the steam from the pot stops.
- Now mix the milk into 2-3 tablespoons of store bought yogurt. Stir well until the yogurt blends well with the milk.
- Set the oven to 100 degrees farenheit and warm it for about 5 minutes and turn it off.
- Now place the milk-yogurt mixture into the warm oven. If the mixture is in a rubbermaid container, place it on a pot holder, on the rack in the oven . I repeat, make sure the oven is off.
- After 24 hours, take it out of the oven. You have home made yogurt. Enjoy!!
